3x3 by Marc Beekhuis is a free blocky pixel font built from oversized square modules. Its letters reduce familiar forms to stark right angles and deep rectangular gaps. The construction feels deliberately raw and low-resolution.
Game interfaces and posters make different uses of the same rigid geometry. It can also shape electronic music artwork and tech-themed merchandise, where the lettering reads almost like assembled tiles. Indie game makers and designers drawn to early digital graphics are its clearest audience.
