Al! Sarrab, created by Ismail Bel Kharchouf of FSI FontShop International GmbH, is a free sign dingbat font built around compact, solid silhouettes with a flat, highly simplified graphic construction. The forms are dense and stripped of fine detail.
Designers working for transport, industrial, or public-information audiences could draw on that no-frills pictogram quality in signage, maps, and instruction panels, as the compact shapes resemble the functional markers used in those settings.
