Alegreya SC by Juan Pablo del Peral is a free small-cap serif font with a literary, calligraphic character. Its sharply tapered strokes and pronounced thick-thin changes give the letters a lively page color. The smaller capitals sit comfortably beside full-height forms, with compact proportions and crisp, wedge-shaped serifs.

Publishing is its clearest home, especially on book covers. Its humanist drawing also suits museum programs and historical exhibitions centered on manuscripts, printmaking, or classical literature.
