Bloc by J. Geiger of geigerartwork.de is a free high-contrast display serif with an exceptionally tall, compressed silhouette and very tightly fitted letterforms. Broad vertical strokes meet hairline curves and sharp, restrained serifs, so the letters have severe editorial elegance and blunt poster-like force.

It makes a stark centerpiece for fashion campaigns. The narrow proportions also suit fragrance packaging, magazine covers, and nightclub posters, where dramatic lettering must occupy a compact horizontal area. Beside tightly cropped portrait photography or hard-edged geometric patterns, its alternating dark slabs and fine lines echo the same visual play of light and shadow, mass and delicacy.
