Bulgarian Kursiv Italic by Ilya Talev is a free calligraphic script with sweeping formal letterforms and pronounced thick-thin contrast. Tall capitals rise into sharp hairlines, broad shaded strokes, and long curves that loop well beyond the main body of the letters. The result recalls engraved display lettering, but its enlarged flourishes give it a more theatrical scale.
Packaging offers a convincing home for this ornate style. Its elegant movement can shape luxury perfume branding, fashion editorials, and formal invitation designs, with the extended strokes becoming decorative lines that connect lettering to delicate borders, detailed botanical artwork, or other fine illustration.
