Freehand Roman by Roland Huse is a free eroded outline display font with the tall proportions and sharp serifs of classical inscriptional lettering. Fine doubled contours and scattered breaks give the strokes a weathered, hand-inked edge.

Designers working on historical or literary themes can use it for book covers, museum posters, and theatrical programs, where the worn Roman forms suggest an aged artifact. It also suits wine labels and heritage branding, making the lettering part of the period imagery.
