Gemcut, designed by Neale Davidson, is a free modern Gothic display font with the hard-edged geometry of cut stone. Its tall, tightly fitted letters combine broad slabs with sharp diagonal cuts and clipped corners. Small diamond-shaped openings recur as jewel-like details, making the otherwise severe construction easy to recognize.
Creating a carved-metal emblem is its strongest visual role, especially for heavy music branding, game title screens, and nightclub event posters. Album packaging and related fantasy merchandise can also use the faceted cuts as part of a larger graphic theme, echoing gemstones, blades, and angular architectural ornament in detailed surrounding illustration.

This was my first completed font. It includes the full alphabet, extended punctuation, the euro symbol, and an italic version.
