Gorillaz 2, designed by Chris himself of High-Logic, is a free eroded display font with rough, uneven letterforms. Its swollen curves, chipped edges, and abrupt shifts in stroke width give the alphabet a cut-and-pasted, hand-damaged look.
For music posters and game graphics, the broken silhouettes introduce a loud underground quality. They also suit skate merchandise and horror-comedy packaging, where imperfect shapes can become part of the artwork. It is aimed squarely at designers working with rebellious youth culture.
