Heydings Controls by Heydon Pickering is a free interface symbol font with chunky silhouettes and a friendly, informal edge. Familiar controls include undo, resize, shuffle, movement, and color-related icons, all drawn with broad shapes and softened curves.

Its pictograms suit both digital interfaces and printed instruction cards because their meaning is immediate and their weight is consistent. The symbols also fit playful game menus and interactive exhibits. Used with diagrams or screen illustrations, they can become functional parts of the image rather than decorative labels.
