Leipzig Fraktur LF by CAT Design Wolgast is a free Fraktur blackletter font with steep angular strokes and pronounced shifts between broad and hairline forms. Its pointed joins and forked details give the letters a severe calligraphic edge.
Medieval history and German print culture are its clearest subjects, with the sharp silhouettes fitting museum posters and historical publishing. The same dark texture can lend album packaging and fantasy game graphics an ominous period note. In illustrated projects, the blade-like strokes can echo engraved weapons, Gothic architecture, or woodcut-style borders rather than acting as neutral lettering.
