Lightfoot Shadowed, credited to PJL, is a free old-school display serif with tall, sharply cut capitals and pronounced thick-thin strokes. Offset shadows, fine interior lines, and pointed wedge-like details give the lettering the look of hand-drawn sign work or an engraved title.
Its theatrical construction suits vintage entertainment posters, yet the same ornamental finish can support heritage food and drink packaging. The lettering can become a crafted sign in its own right. In publishing, it can lend period detail to book covers and feature openers on theater, folklore, or history.
