Marvel Italic, created by Carolina Trebol, is a free condensed italic sans serif with unusually tall, slim proportions and an emphatic forward slant. Its changing stroke widths, sweeping curves, and sharp joins give the lettering a poised fashion-editorial character, with enough irregularity to feel drawn rather than mechanically compressed.
The long silhouettes echo the directional lines of fashion photography, making them a useful part of magazine cover imagery instead of mere titling.
