NoteScrawl, John W. Young’s free handwritten font from 1995, has the loose, note-passed-in-class feel of a quick marker scrawl. The letters swing between rounded loops and sharp flicks, with uneven strokes and restless angles that keep the alphabet casual, slightly messy, and very human.

It fits scrapbook graphics, zine covers, poster blurbs, mixtape-style packaging, and informal title cards where a free font should feel dashed off rather than carefully composed.
