Pessimistic Lines

Pessimistic Lines by PL is a free distorted blackletter display font with a slippery, hand-cut feel. The letters lean on medieval forms, but the outlines wobble and melt into hooked points and diamond-like cuts, giving the font a nervous rhythm that feels rough, odd, and intentionally unstable.

That makes it a natural fit for underground music flyers, zine covers, poster titles, tattoo-inspired branding, and game or film title cards where a free font can bring in dark historic flavor without looking tidy. It works best in short bursts, because the jagged blackletter shapes and warped contours do most of the talking.
