Planewalker 字体

Planewalker, designed by Neale Davidson, is a free Celtic Gothic display font with the broad, carved manner of uncial-inspired lettering. Its rounded arches and wedge-like turns are interrupted by sharp hooks, narrow joins, irregular stroke widths, pointed feet, broad crowns, and top-heavy proportions. Several letters lean or flare unexpectedly.

It can give fantasy publishing a hand-cut title treatment, or lend brewery packaging and folk festival posters an old-world sign-painter quality. In game graphics and historical entertainment, the exaggerated letters and hooked details can become part of an illustrated crest or tavern sign rather than serving as neutral text.

Planewalker is based on card text from the first several editions of Wizards of the Coast’s Magic: The Gathering collectible card game. It includes the full alphabet, extended punctuation, and the euro symbol. It is available in regular, bold, italic, and bold italic weights.
