Retool is a free segmented techno display font built from angular strokes and sharply cut joints. Its blocky letters resemble oversized digital readouts, though the irregular diagonals make the construction less mechanical than a standard seven-segment face. Narrow gaps and clipped corners produce a dense, industrial silhouette.
Game interfaces are a natural medium for this lettering, especially for score screens, futuristic menus, and arcade branding. The modular shapes can also echo circuit paths or machine panels in electronic music posters and album artwork. For technology events and science-fiction merchandise, the letters can become part of the equipment-inspired imagery rather than simply labeling it.
