RM Romantic Carved Shadow by Ray Meadows of FontStruct is a free engraved serif display font with tall, elegant proportions and pronounced thick-thin strokes. Fine inner outlines and closely hatched shadows give the letters the look of carved metal or an old engraved title plate.

It can lend formal ceremony to wedding invitations and luxury packaging, yet its dimensional linework also suits theatrical posters and period publishing. The etched construction remains delicate and precise. Its most convincing settings draw on historical romance, costume drama, or classical ornament, where the etched detailing can echo borders, filigree, architectural illustration, and antique bookplates.
