Schmalfette Gotisch, created by Herr Schneidler, Manfred Klein, and Petra Heidorn of typOasis, is a free blackletter font with a dense, forceful silhouette. Its narrow letters combine blunt vertical strokes with sharp peaks and angular joins.
As a period-specific title, it can turn historical posters and event programs into something resembling old, carved Gothic signage. The same pointed forms also suit metal album covers, fantasy game graphics, and dark beer packaging, where the lettering can become part of an emblem.
