Segment14 by Paul Flo Williams of His Deeds Are Dust is a free fourteen-segment digital display font drawn from vintage electronic readouts. Its tall letters use rounded, slightly uneven bars that soften the rigid construction. Wide forms and generous internal gaps keep the alphabet open and distinctly mechanical.
Retro technology is its clearest territory, making it apt for arcade graphics, electronic-music artwork, and science-fiction posters. In publishing, it turns cover lines into convincing control-panel readouts.
