SmithyXY VeryHeavy by Pella is a free eroded display font with massive slab-serif forms and a rough, ink-eaten surface. Its uneven edges resemble a battered wood-type print. Rounded damage and blunt serifs keep the texture coarse rather than scratchy.
Music posters and craft-beer packaging both benefit from its forceful, workshop-made character. It also suits restaurant signage and apparel graphics with an industrial or vintage-print theme. In these settings, the letters can become part of the printed texture rather than serving as neutral type.
