Wachinanga by deFharo is a free high-contrast serif font with the theatrical scale and poise of dramatic display typography. Hairline strokes meet broad verticals, and round ball terminals recur across the tall, finely poised lettering.

Poster design is its clearest setting, especially for fashion, cabaret, or arts events that can use its elegant but eccentric silhouette. The circular details also suit perfume packaging and magazine covers, where the letters can echo delicate jewelry, small spot illustrations, or other dotted ornament.

Wachinanga is a transitional typeface that combines curves and straight lines.

According to the RAE, guachinanga means:

- Adjective, Hispanic America: cunning and ingratiating.
- Adjective and noun, Cuba, derogatory: Mexican.
- Masculine noun, Cuba and Mexico: a marine fish with a reddish body and fins, a pink belly and sides, and strikingly red eyes. Its meat is highly valued. Lutjanus campechanus.
