Waschkueche by Peter Wiegel of CAT Webdesign Wolgast is a free high-contrast serif with lively, hand-cut contours and a firm upright stance. Broad curves, fine hairlines, and small pointed serifs give the letters an elegant but slightly eccentric silhouette.
Packaging is its strongest medium, especially for artisan soap, preserves, or household goods that benefit from an old-fashioned label style. The irregular curves keep that period note from feeling too formal. It would also suit book covers, cafe signage, and event posters, where the distinctive stroke changes can echo decorative borders and period illustration.
