Zuider Postduif by Roland Huse is a free modern display font with tall, eccentric lettering and a distinctly hand-shaped finish. Rounded strokes swell and narrow unpredictably, giving each letter a lively silhouette. The shifting proportions are especially memorable, with slim forms set against broad, bulbous curves.
A poster is its strongest setting. Its towering shapes also suit album packaging, festival graphics, and offbeat editorial covers, where the lettering can become part of the illustration. The style is well matched to independent labels and arts audiences drawn to unconventional type.

Zuider Postduif was one of my first font designs, and I decided to remake the entire character set.
It includes OpenType features such as stylistic alternates, standard and discretionary ligatures, ornaments, and language extensions, including the Russian alphabet.
This font is a demo version only.
